Wildlife Safari Park

This summer we had a pretty big adventure! Chris got accepted into a masters of theatre studies program at Southern Oregon University. For three summers and two school years he will be working toward completing his masters degree! Classes began July 9th in Ashland. We packed up the car, drove to Portland to visit my family, and left the next morning. We drove most of the day so we were all ready for a break when we rolled into Winston, OR. We wanted to check out the Wildlife Safari Park in town. It was pretty cool to see! Leila loved the fact that the park's mission is to save all animals but most especially the cheetah. I am not even kidding you when I say that just the night before we visited the safari park, she was sobbing to Grammy that she didn't "think she could live in a world without cheetahs!"

This emu was not happy that we had decided not to purchase a food cup to feed him from our car with.

After leaving the park we continued south to Ashland. We were anxious to check in and see what our home away from home would look like. I had reserved the space through a vacation rental by owner site. It was PERFECT for us! We rented the top floor, which had two bedrooms, one bath, a kitchen and small living space. It was cozy and clean.
