Picnic

One of our favorite places to spend time is Brown's Point. Last night Chris decided the family should hit the road. So we packed up some blankets, stopped by Subway for some sandwiches and took a drive. It was a very special evening spent throwing rocks, laughing, running up the hill and smelling flowers. I couldn't ask for a better summer evening!

Packing Up

Aunt Chris had the toughest job on the morning of our last day at her house. She was charged with keeping Weed occupied while we finished packing. Turns out it wasn't so hard, she just took Weed in her huge walk-in closet and let her play with all her shoes. I took a break from packing to snap a couple pics.

Little Miss Hot Stuff:
She said she was going to school to teach the kids that were not good listeners. Hmmm....you might get their attention in that outfit.

Catching Up

While we were in California this year, I got the chance to meet up with a friend of mine. Kristina and I became friends in third grade. Her family moved the summer before high school. Turns out she lives about 20 minutes from Chris's Aunt and Uncle's house. Small world! We got together for dinner last week and we got the chance to meet each other's families. So fun to see her!

Disneyland 2010, Day 3

Tuesday we had the chance to enter the park an hour early. We had every intention of being there by 7:15 that morning and we would have made it had it not been for a broken monorail. It killed us. We didn't make it to Fantasyland until 7:40, which was fine but it sure would have been cooler to be there earlier. Despite the set back, the lines were still short and we managed to do a lot.

First time on the teacups.

Our girl always loves a carousel.
While waiting for Small World, we spotted some friends from home. Bergen and Leila go to daycare together. They are really good friends. The girls were so excited to see each other!!!! The cast member called Bergen's family up to the front of the line so we could ride together. It was great.

Leila and Bergen. I think they have missed each other this summer with not going to daycare.
She actually said, "Mom, take my picture!" LOVE it!

Pluto actually did some tricks with L's dolls. He threw each of them up and caught them in his mouth. Leila couldn't stop laughing...once she figured out they were okay.
L got chosen to be a part of the parade on Main Street. She might have been the littlest.

Of course we had to ride the bumper cars again!
We had a fabulous stay at the Magic Kingdom!

Disneyland 2010, Day 2

Day 2 at Disneyland started bright and early! We had early entry into Toon Town. Turns out this is where Leila's favorite ride would be! Leila was thrilled with Gadget's Roller Coaster.

Fourth car back...you can only see Chris.

We ate lunch at Goofey's Kitchen and got to meet more characters. Leila is reaching her midday melting point here. She was hungry and tired...
More melt down...

A full tummy and a glass of milk later, we had our smiley girl back.

Shaking chocolate sprinkles on Mulan.

These two princesses were the best! They spent about 10 minutes running through the restaurant with Leila playing hide-n-seek. The place was pretty empty so they weren't in a rush to move on to other tables. They were crawling under tables and running around corners all while wearing their gowns. Leila was in heaven.

There you are!

Finding Leila.
Leila's first live theater production...other than Daddy's rehearsals. We saw the Aladdin show. So good!
