This weekend, we drove to Portland to visit my family for the holidays. Grammy and Grandad gave Leila a baby stroller. She loved doing laps around the kitchen island with her baby, the stroller and an old cell phone on her shoulder. What a little Mommy!

We spent Christmas afternoon at Gramma and Grampa Tavern's house. Leila had to take a nap halfway through her present opening!

Our Christmas tree this year. Santa sure found his way to our house. Leila would have been quite happy with just the items in her stocking. She got rather excited about the coloring book, crayons, Wiggles DVD and deck of pink playing cards (she loves to pass out cards one at a time). We had to convince her that there were other packages for her to open. What a sweet girl!

Merry Christmas!
We hope you are as blessed and happy as the Tavern Family is tonight! Last year, when Leila was four months old, we tracked Santa on the computer throughout Christmas Eve. We did it again this year and she really enjoyed seeing Rudolph's nose on the screen!

The funniest time of the evening came when we were leaving Santa's cookies and milk by the fireplace. Leila decided she had to taste test the cookies for Santa. I think they passed the test!

We played in the snow again this afternoon. We built a larger snowman than we did the other day. While we were searching for rocks to use as the eyes and buttons, I realized just how behind schedule I am with the garden flag in the backyard! Yikes!

Here is the Tavern Family with our new snow friend. We decided to call him Michelangelo because he looks Italian to us!

It just keeps snowing! Chris and I can't remember the last time it snowed this much! We have had snow on the ground for over a week now. The forecast is calling for more snow in the next few days. We might have a WHITE CHRISTMAS two years in a row!

Here we go!
This is a new adventure for the Tavern Family...blogging that is. Lots of my friends have fabulous pages, so I thought I would give it a try.

This is our family the weekend that we decorated the house for Christmas.
Merry Christmas!
