Historic Jacksonville

Friday morning, Mom, Jim, Leila and I headed out to tour Jacksonville. Leila and I had just been there for the Children's Festival, but this time we were planning on walking the historic sites and riding the trolley around town. Jacksonville is rich with pioneer history! The trolley ride was two hours of town trivia and history...right up my alley! We loved hearing the stories  behind the beautiful old buildings and homes.

For lunch we ate at Bella Union. The outdoor patio (where we ate) is completely covered by low hanging tree branches. It looked like we were eating inside a fairy house! It was AMAZING!
From Jacksonville we headed east to Medford to check out Mom's old stomping grounds. She showed us the house she grew up in on Old Stage Road and then her high school too. Leila got a kick outta seeing some of things.
