Yes, we went to Disneyland. Again!! This time, we went just the three of us and stayed in the Disneyland Hotel. We were gone for seven days, spent five of those seven days at the parks, and flew home on July 27th. We didn't leave the Disneyland Resort grounds and we had the MOST FANTASTIC time!!!!!! There are way too many pictures for me to post and way too many memories to share, but I will do my best to share the highlights over the next several posts. It was a vacation our little family will always cherish. We left Sunday, July 21 in the morning. The picture above shows how lovely the NW's weather was when we flew over Mt. Rainier. Gorgeous!!
Chris snapped this picture of out little traveler. We got to travel a little bit lighter this trip...no car seat. Since we weren't staying with family and running around So. CA, we didn't need Leila's seat. The picture under Leila with her bags was taken on the Disney shuttle en route to our hotel. We sat in the front row and Leila was tickled that she was in a vehicle WITHOUT a car seat or a belt!! Not to mention there was a tv on board.
We arrived too early to check-in to our room, so we dropped our bags at the hotel and hit Downtown Disney for some food and fun. We ate lunch at the Rainforest Cafe. Leila is finally over the phase of crying when the animals start making noise. Hallelujah!
The Lego store lets folks build cars and race other guests. Here is Leila's car she built. Believe it or not, we were able to leave that huge store only buying four Lego figure key chains!!
We did spend some money at Build a Bear though. Since it is located in Downtown Disney, there are some outfits that are only offered there. Leila made a bear, Sparkle, and bought a Minnie Mouse outfit for her.
I loved watching the artists make these fun Disney treats!!
Chris had fun making photo collages for each of our vacation days. Here is his creation for day #1:
Once we could check in, our first order of business was to take a swim in the newly remodeled hotel pool. So fun! The weather was overcast and a bit windy, so we practically had the pool to ourselves. Clouds and wind couldn't keep these NW folks from the pool!!We went to bed early that night knowing that we would be waking up early for a Magic Morning in California Adventure!!
