Member Night at the Zoo

One of our favorite zoo visits of the year is Members' Night! Once a year, the zoo opens after regular hours and invites its members to spend the evening visiting the animals and getting back stage looks at zoo exhibits. We love it! This year, we got to see the newly built animal hospital, the big cats' walkways, ride a camel, tour the elephant bar and so much more! The picture above is Leila sitting in the elephant washing area of the elephant barn.

Below is one of the tigers. He was a cub not that long ago, but look how big he is now! This photo is NOT zoomed in...that is how close members can get to the animals on this special night!!

I think this camel ride was her first solo trip. She has been on the camel before but always with a friend.
