Snow!

We got a little dusting of snow! There was just enough to enjoy a couple hours outside before it started to melt. We tried building a little snowman, but the snow wasn't the best snowman-building snow.

Tina's house looked pretty whimsical with its Christmas lights and snow dusting.

Tickle fights in the snow are the best!

Thanksgiving 2014

Somehow Jon had Thanksgiving off this year! Usually, we end up having our Thanksgiving with my family after Thanksgiving so Jon and Amanda can join us, but this year there was no need to postpone it! Baby Bennett was still a month from his arrival date, but Leila was so excited to talk to him and kiss Auntie Amanda's tummy.

We celebrated Aunt Kathy's birthday and Leila scored some chocolate cake that one of Aunt Kathy's co-workers had made for her special day.

That evening, Grammy let Leila open some new jammies...Dala horse jams! Bennett also got a pair. I can't wait to see the two of them in their matching pajamas!

SCT's Holiday Show

Seattle Children's Theatre holiday show was Dick Whittington and His Cat. I really can not say enough things about this theatre! I am sure folks who keep up regularly with this blog will get tired of reading this again, but SCT truly has some of the most fantastic productions! We are never disappointed after a show and always look forward to our next visit. Dick Whittington and His Cat was a great family show to see at the start of the holiday season.

Last Soccer Game of the Season

Waiting for the game...

It's hard to take pictures when you are the coach! I wasn't able to take a lot of action shots of the soccer games with season being that Chris and I coached. I did bring the camera the to the last game and was able to take quite a few.

A corner kick that L took....step by step.

This picture was taken at half-time. Someone was sad that this was the last game of the season.

The last play of the season was a HUGE kick from Leila, which hit an opposing player right in the stomach. The girl ran off the field crying and then time was called. Leila was so upset thinking that she had hurt the girl, we could barely get her to high five the other team. Afterward, we walked across the pitch to show Leila the girl was ok. Whew! Our tender-hearted soccer player.

Disney on Ice

In November we went to see Disney on Ice. Gramma wanted to go for her birthday present so we made an afternoon of it and invited our friends, the Neeleys. We had quite the group when all was said and done. 4 children and 8 adults. I think it is safe to say that we all enjoyed ourselves!

The kiddos: Leila, Elliott, Edith and Aubi

NW Soccer

Being that Leila no longer plays micro division soccer, her season this year was longer, lasting 'til the end of November. One of last Saturdays in November, the girls had a 9:00 AM game and boy was it cold! Luckily, the girls are still young enough that the referee allowed both teams to wear all their cold winter gear.

That's Leila in the teal cleats and red jersey.

Our girls at half-time. Too cold for anyone to even want cold, juicy oranges.

It was so cold that the girls couldn't even wait on the bench between shifts without getting all bundled up. Aaah...soccer in the Northwest.

Dental Success!

Hoppity has been accompanying Leila to dental visits for the last seven years, but in November he was benched! Leila decided that she would leave Hoppity in my purse and the even BIGGER news of the visit was the fact that Leila was able to sit in the main dental exam room!! Up until now, she has had to go around the corner into the "special" room due to her tears and anxiety. This was a HUGE accomplishment! Maybe I won't have to dread her next visit...
