Our dear friends, the Neeleys, came to watch Leila play one Saturday morning in Orting. We won that game and almost every girl on our team scored multiple goals! Leila had quite the fan club that morning...two sets of grandparents, the Neeleys and her wonderful teacher (and my good, good friend). It was very fun to see her excitement.

Oh soccer orange pictures...you are some of my favorites!

Sunny Soccer Practice
One night at soccer practice, before the other families were there, I made Leila stop for some pictures. The sun was shining, L was running around the pitch and
Seattle Children's Theatre 2014-15 Season
A family favorite is our Sunday mornings spent at Seattle Children's Theatre. The cast and crew never disappoints! This season kicked off with Rikki Tikki Tavi. Leila and I had never read or heard this story, but knowing it was based on a Rudyard Kipling story, we were excited to see what the play would be like. It was colorful, imaginative and had a good lesson to share. We have taken a picture of Leila with the sandwich board marquee for every show we have seen for the last four years. This show's marquee was nowhere to be found. I happened to ask the House Manager and she took us back stage! It hadn't been put out yet, so we got to see what SCT looks like behind the scenes. Chris was jealous! Too bad he isn't the one addicted to taking pictures or he could have gone back stage too! After the show we always take some peeks in the workshop's windows to see what the crew is working on for upcoming plays.

Leila played her third season of outdoor soccer this fall! Here is her official picture from this season (love that Sounders ball!)...as well as her last two...for comparison's sake.

A Fairy House
While we were spending our summer in Ashland, Leila and I browsed MANY books about making your own fairy garden. We decided that we would dive into this project when we got home. We finally got around to it in September! After emptying a Clorox tub, we cut part of it off, cut a door and then went searching for fairy house materials.
Here's our finished house. We are quite thrilled with it! Leila truly thinks that Tinkerbell and her friends live there!

Grammy's Birthday
We celebrated Grammy's birthday a week later than the real date, but because of Leila's soccer schedule we couldn't make a trip south until then. It was a great weekend (although I didn't get a picture of Grammy!). We had dinner, walked to Panera for Sunday brunch and enjoyed being together. Leila, Grammy, Auntie Amanda, Aunt Kathy and I spent most of Saturday afternoon making raspberry jam. Yum!
More Blasters
Thanks to Cindy, our team had matching sweats, socks and hair bands! Cindy took upon herself to organize and order the cutest matching accessories for our girls! We finally got to wear our team warm-ups a few games into our season.
